Our Mission Statement

The objectives of this club are to encourage the study of, and promote an interest in gardening among amateurs, and to work toward the ultimate goals of beautification and environmental awareness throughout our community.

Our Continuing Projects

Butterfly Garden Outdoor Classroom Monarch Waystation at Twin Chimneys Elementary School, 7396 Twin Chimneys Blvd., O'Fallon, MO. Chairman: Paula Kraft. Our members maintain a butterfly garden for the educational benefits and enjoyment of school students and staff. Provides habitat for native butterflies and promotes the FCGN goal of inspiring children to love gardening!

Blue Star Memorial Highway Marker at the VFW Post 5077, 8500 Veterans Memorial Pkwy, O'Fallon, MO. Chairman: Susie Pini. Members participate in the beautification and maintenance of our Blue Star Memorial Highway Marker, promoting NGC goals and honoring our military.

Ft. Zumwalt Park Pioneer Pollinators Herb Garden at 1000 Jessup Dr., O'Fallon, MO. Chairman: Theresa Williams. Members work with the City of O'Fallon to design, install, and maintain a pioneer herb garden promoting the NGC objectives of education and beautifying our community, and providing a habitat for native pollinators. We provide a brochure, at the site, during the City of O'Fallon's Founders Day Event to educate visitors about the historical uses for herbs in the 1800s.

Salvation Army Garden of Hope at 1 William Booth Dr., O'Fallon, MO. Chairman:. Susan Ruckman Members maintain a garden of native and nectar plants to attract butterflies, birds, and pollinators and to give inspiration and hope to the residents of our local homeless shelter.

Gold Star Memorial Marker at Veterans Tribute Park, 1031 Kisker Road, Weldon Spring, MO. Chairman: Susan Ruckman. Members participate in the beautification and maintenance of our Gold Star Memorial Marker, promoting NCG goals and honoring our fallen military.

Sunrise Preschool "Little Gardeners" 7116 Twin Chimneys Blvd. O'Fallon, MO. Chairperson: Vicki Miller. Members work with Preschool teachers and 3-5 year old chidden to the love of gardening at a young age and connect them with nature and the environment.

Plant America Garden Expo held at Weldon Spring Site Interpretive Center, 7295 S. Hwy 04, St. Charles, MO. Our club plus two other MCD clubs and a sustainability organization work in cooperation with WSSIC to plan this one day Expo with vendors, featuring educational booths, children's activities, plants demo
